Established in 2015, Farfetched Fridays have been one of the most successful and longest-running student nights in Bristol and they are Hosted at one of Bristol’s most renowned venues, known as SWX.

SWX Bristol is located close to Cabot Circus in the centre of Bristol.

If you are travelling by bus, there are many that will stop right outside SWX. Check bus times using the First bus app.

If you are travelling by train the closest station is Temple Meads. A taxi journey from the station is 5-10 minutes and if you are walking around 20 minutes.

There are lots of great benefits such as work flexibility, commission for each ticket you sell, free entry to every club night, queue jump for you and your friends, free drinks and free VIP treatment on birthdays! As well as social nights out with your team of reps!

It’s really simple, we just give you a ticket link and you can share it on social media or send it to your mates etc and do it via word of mouth! How you sell the tickets is up to you, but to earn the commission they must be bought through your link.

If you have lost items or left them in the cloakroom please email the venue directly at enquiries@swxbristol.com. Please include a description of the missing item, date of the show and your contact details. A member of the SWX team will get in touch.

SWX stores lost property for a maximum of three months and after this period they are donated to local charity shops. Valuable items may be held for a longer period and items such as passports and other forms of identification are handed to the relevant authorities if they are not collected.

In accordance with our licensing conditions SWX has the right to refuse admission without providing a reason. Identification will be required for entry to the venue. Please see event details as specific events will have different guidelines and restrictions. You can always call us for further information.

SWX also has the rights to remove people from the venue at any point for any reason. If you are ejected from the venue and would like to dispute the action then please email us and we will investigate the issue.

Part of the condition of entry is that you agree to a search on arrival.

The venue, SWX, operates a zero tolerance drugs policy. Anyone found with illegal drugs will be banned from the venue and reported to the police. There will be additional measures on top of our search procedures that may be enacted when you visit SWX, this may include drug detection methods. For your protection and for the protection of our staff, all searches are conducted under full HD CCTV with voice recording.

SWX is a multistorey venue. There is a passenger lift which is located at the back of the venue within a staff only area. If you need to use the lift please contact us in advance to arrange access.

We do offer one free carers pass per ticket holder, this can be booked directly with the venue. Carer ticket holders should be able to meet the needs and assist the person they are accompanying in the event of an emergency.

There is no set dress code however you will be turned away If you are wearing a full tracksuit.

Please ensure you bring ID to the venue. No ID = No Entry.

Accepted forms of ID are:
Driver’s License –  full or provisional
Valid Passport
Citizenship Card with the PASS hologram and SIA logo.

Any ID found to be fraudulent will be confiscated. It will either be handed over to the police or sent back to the issuing authority.

Furthermore, All customers who look under the age of 25 will be required to provide ID when purchasing alcohol.

If you are under 18 and attempt to purchase alcohol then you will committing a criminal offence. You may be ejected without a refund or held until a responsible adult can come and collect you.

Only acceptable forms of proof age are accepted. These are listed in the ID policy.

There is a zero tolerance towards drugs.

In conjunction with Avon and Somerset Police we also provide a drugs amnesty box. The amnesty box is situated at the entrance to the venue.  Customers are able to deposit any illegal substances before they enter the searching zone and remain anonymous.

As well as this, No food (including sweets and chewing gum) or drinks can be brought into SWX.

Should you require any items for medical reasons please make this known to the security on entry.

We discourage bringing medication to our Events, however we do understand that for some people this is a necessity. Below are the guidelines for entering with medicines.

-A sealed package of prescribed medication of a small quantity is permitted providing that the customer’s name is on the label. A prescription for the medication should be brought with you if possible.

-Any person with items that are deemed unidentifiable / not in the original packaging or of a large quantity will be asked to speak with the medics on the night. They will assess the situation and the items may be removed until after the show and held in the medical room where they can be accessed if required.

-Please be aware that security or the medic may request evidence on entry. You may also be requested to speak with the duty manager.

-A person who intends to bring into a venue medical sharps will be asked to discuss their usage with the duty manager and the venue medical staff in a private area. This is to ensure that their condition requires immediate access to these items and to also ensure the customer is aware of how to locate and access an area whereby they can administer the required treatment without any concern.

If you have a complaint about the venue or an event then please speak to a member of security or the management team.

In line with the law SWX Bristol is a non-smoking venue. Smoking or vaping is not permitted in any area of the venue. A smoking area will be provided on all events. The location can change depending on the event and capacity but will be clearly signed throughout the venue. Alternatively, speak to a member of staff.

The smoking area will generally be open shortly after the event opens until shortly before the event finishes. Those found to be smoking or vaping inside the venue will be ejected without a refund.

We have medically trained professionals on-site at all times. If you or anyone else needs first aid, please inform a staff member so we may escort you to our first aid room and get you seen. The first aid room is next to our cloak room, on the right. Please ask a member of staff for directions if you cannot find it.
